We have shown proposals for a new 4-arm signalised junction between the A14 and Horningsea Road to provide a permanent access to the facility, with measures to control site traffic and provide separation from pedestrians and cyclists. Are there other measures you would like to see to mitigate any remaining potential impacts on road users?

Explicit safety measures for schoolchildren and users of the cycle path. Details of how congestion can be managed.

Do you have any further comments or suggestions on mitigation measures we should consider when preparing for the construction phase?

The noise, vibration, fumes, dust and traffic will be incessant. There will need to be some respite to save people's health and sanity. There must be times allowed when NO such work is allowed. People need to be able to go outdoors and enjoy some peace.

Don't build it. If you are then there should be dedicated slip road off the A14 no where near Horningsea and Fen Dutton

We have presented estimated construction traffic volumes and types in our Preliminary Environmental Information Report (PEIR) and proposed mitigation is set out in the Construction Traffic Management Plan (CTMP). Are there other measures you would like to see to mitigate any remaining potential construction traffic impacts?

Estimated again and based on what. But it will be too late when these figures are completely wrong. The only way forward is a separate slip road to the site from the A14

We have presented estimated operational traffic volumes and types in our Preliminary Environmental Information Report (PEIR) and proposed mitigation is set out in the Travel Plan. Are there other measures you would like to see to mitigate any remaining potential operational traffic impacts?

What use is estimated!! Any extra traffic to an all ready over loaded road system is a nonstarter. This is not the right site and this is just another reason why

even more vehicular movements on this unclassified road will be more dangerous for cyclists and pedestrians than it is now.

access to the site should kept away from local villages

if this monstrosity has to be built there should be a direct road with access from the A14 to protect the surrounding villages. other works such as the royston plant have this privilege

horningsea and fen ditton should not be subjected to even more traffic burden. this junction is already over used

I still don't see how this option is the most viable. It is an already extremely busy road and when there is road works or a broken down car, it has a massive impact on the amount of traffic build up on the Horningsea Road. All traffic exiting the plant will first turn left at the junction and then will be told to turn right onto the A14 travelling in a westerly direction. What will stop construction vehicles and operational vehicles including staff vans and cars wanting to travel in an easterly direction continuing through Fen Ditton? Will this be penalised and if so, how? Where will vehicles go when there is an accident blocking the westbound or eastbound carriageways between Milton Junction 33 and Junction 34?

We have presented proposed mitigation in the Code of Construction Practice (CoCP) for nonpublic highway construction phase impacts eg. construction site noise, dust and pollution control. Are there other measures you would like to see to mitigate any remaining potential non-public highway construction impacts?

You should provide assurance that all noise and vibration during construction will be zero at night (between 4pm and 8am) and at weekends and Bank Holidays and you must widen the scope of impact in relation to vibration, dust and pollution control during excavation of foundations. In the case of vibration it is important that it is controlled during the drilling of the transfer tunnel, the outfall pipeline and the Waterbeach pipeline.

Give details of your safety provision for children who walk or cycle from Horningsea to Fen Ditton Primary School during construction of the four-arm crossing at the new entrance to the treatment plant. Give details of your safety provision for cyclists and walkers, including children, during construction of the transfer tunnel, the outfall pipeline and the Waterbeach pipeline.

Our local roads are not built to accommodate your vehicles. You should reduce the amount of traffic accessing the treatment plant during construction and operation of the treatment plant.

Provide details of the temporary condition and what measures will be taken for safety whilst this it being constructed. I would like the option of a new service access road to be taken seriously as this would eliminate this issue.

Do you have any further comments or suggestions on mitigation measures we should consider when preparing for the construction phase?

How will scheduling of noisy period be communicated. What action will be taken if the plan is not adhered to.

Vibration noise control for tunnelling routes.

I would like the option of a new service access road to be taken seriously as this would eliminate this issue instead of weak promises that the villages routes won't be used. I would like assurance that there will no construction traffic coming though Fen Ditton. There needs to a number plate recognition in place and CWW should be fined if they are driving though our villages, with drivers on 3 strike out disciplinary process.

Reduce the number of sludge vehicle movements.
